Temperatures correlate with airflow, so it varies from grill to grill. It is noteworthy that the center of the fan is "dead space" that does not contribute to airflow - the fan blades are the really critical area.
We have typically found that grills that cover less than 50% of the fan's surface area have the least impact on airflow, so most of our covers have been designed to cover less than 50%. Airflow changes vary from grill to grill, but the majority of our designs have a minimal impact on airflow. These imperfections have no effect on the appearance of the mounted fan cover. Please note that all of my products are 3D printed and may have imperfections characteristic of 3D printing, including layer lines and scars.
